Monk Blessing Ceremony
Experience a traditional Cambodian monk blessing at Wat Arang Pagoda near Siem Reap. Choose from two rituals: a light sprinkling of water with monks chanting for good luck, or a deeper ceremony where water and fragrant flowers are used in blessings for prosperity and renewal.
Location: Wat Arang Pagoda, just south of Siem Reap.
Experience: Begin with a guided tour of the pagoda, where your guide will explain its historical and cultural significance.
Participate in a traditional monk blessing, an age-old Cambodian practice for good fortune, safe travels, or spiritual renewal.
Choose from two types of blessings: A shorter ritual where monks chant harmoniously while lightly sprinkling you with water and flowers.
A longer ritual involving the pouring of blessed water and flower petals over your head while the monks chant. A sarong will be provided to keep your clothing dry.
Closing: End the ceremony with a red thread tied around your wrist, symbolizing blessings, protection, and good fortune.
