Bird Watching Prek Toal

Home to thousands of birds, Prek Toal is one of the largest bird reserves in South East Asia. It is a sanctuary as hunting is prohibited and the mighty lake of Tonle Sap provides a perfect habitat and breeding ground for the more than 150 species (including 7 endangered ones) that migrate through and live in Prek Toal. A birdwatchers dream, Prek Toal is home to Darters, Cormorants, Whiskered Terns, Billed Pelicans, rare Painted Storks, and the incredibly beautiful Sarus Crane. There are also many aquatic plants, fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and unique insects at Prek Toal!
