Prek Toal Birth Sanctury
Home to thousands of birds, Prek Toal is one of the largest bird reserves in South East Asia. It is a sanctuary as hunting is prohibited and the mighty lake of Tonle Sap provides a perfect habitat and breeding ground for the more than 150 species (including 7 endangered ones) that migrate through and live in Prek Toal.
A birdwatchers dream, Prek Toal is home to Darters, Cormorants, Whiskered Terns, Billed Pelicans, rare Painted Storks, and the incredibly beautiful Sarus Crane.

Kompong Phluk Floating Village
This half day trip will take you into the heart of mangrove forests on the margins of the Tonle Sap Lake to the incredible stilt village of Kompong Phluk and Kompong Khleang. You will experience the traditiona and peacefull life of the fishing communities here. If water levels are low, we can take a canoe ride deep into the mangrove forests to explore further into the mangroves of Tonle Sap!
Kampong Phluk is a cluster of three villages of stilted houses built within the floodplain of the Tonle Sap about 16 km southeast of Siem Reap. The villages are primarily Khmer and have about 3,000 inhabitants between them. Flooded mangrove forest surrounds the area and is home to a variety of wildlife including crab-eating macaques.
